San Diego Fav Spots
If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know about my love for San Diego. The weather is perfect, the sun is always shining, the people are happy, the food is incredible, it’s easy to live healthy, you can go to the beach or go on a hike in the hills along the shoreline and some of our favorite people live there. So it’s the perfect location for us to take an extended vacation with our kids! I wanted to share with you some of my favorite places to go while in San Diego with and without kids. We probably go at least twice a year because we love it so much.
I’ll tell you though, it’s SO hard to find a place to stay. Mainly because i am SO picky! We always want to be able to stay where we can see the water and when we are with the kids that’s pretty tricky to find a safe house that’s big enough. I also DON’T want to stay in a place that’s stuck in the 70s, that’s moldy or dirty. SO there’s that! I have done SO much research my friend so let me take a little work out of it for you! This will be a long post so keep on scrollin’!
DINER
First I’m going to start with our FAVORITE restaurant above all the places!!! It’s Jeune et Jolie
It’s the most charming, adorable joint you’ll ever find. The bread is to die for. The entrees are fresh. I wish I could remember exactly what I ordered but you can’t go wrong with any of it. The drinks came out with little flowers in them. The booths are pink. The dishes are simple and elegant. The staff is so adorable and friendly! It’s perfectly French and the best place for a date night or a girl’s night out in Carlsbad!
HEALTHY EATS
Beaming
This is our go-to place for breakfast + juice + smoothies. LIke we crave it everyday here in Nashville! Their acai bowls with granola and blueberries is just the best you’ll ever find. You will leave feeling so good and filled. When we stayed in La Jolla, Jordan would drive there every morning to pick up an acai bowl. FAVE!
COFFEE
Our two go-to places for coffee were Lofty Bean and Holsem Coffee. Holsem is the besttt!!! But you always gotta go local and fresh!

PASTRIES
Bird Rock and la jolla were the places where we spent most of our time and adored both places! In Bird Rock, there’s an amazing pastry shop where they have home made EVERYTHING! You walk in a it smells dreamy, you can order lunch or just pastries to take home. There will probably be a link because the locals love it.

Here are all of the places that we have stayed at in San Diego and loved. We tend to stay around the Bird Rock/La Jolla area because their downtowns are so fun and filled with so many good eats and hikes.
ADVENTURES
Two of our go-to places in SD is the paragliding area at Torrey Pines and the hiking all around SD but one of my fave hikes was ____.
